Exedy Multi Plate Clutch
The Exedy Multi Plate Clutch is designed for high torque capacity with ''reasonable'' steetability. The friction facing material is cerametallic to bundle the abuse of highly modified engines. Again, with all cerametallic clutch systems, some chatter should be expected on low rpm startups. The Exedy Multi Plate Clutch features a single spring damper for both discs, this clutch design has strap lift and drive for both the pressure plate and the intermediate plate.
This Exedy Multi Plate Clutch is rated for above 500hp to 750hp. The Exedy Triple Plate Clutch is rated for up to and over 1000hp (for drag race applications). The Exedy Twin Plate Clutch comes with both spring damper discs and solid discs. The Exedy Triple Plate Clutch contains all solid discs.
Each of the Exedy Multi Plate Clutch comes with a lightweight, chrome moly steel Exedy Flywheel and the famous purple anodized forged aluminum clutch cover. Depending on the application, Exedy has both strap drive and lug drive models. All have T5001 cerametallic friction materials for extreme heat resistance.
